Hola amigos!

Greetings from sunny Sayulita, Mexico! It’s a sleepy little surfer town just north of Puerto Vallarta. After the famed San Francisco fog delayed our flight yesterday, we finally arrived at our rented beach bungalow last night at 7 PM. Hungry from our journey, we were lured into a restaurant offering free tequila shots, 2 for 1 margaritas, and tasty fish tacos. Our whole dinner (including extra sides of guacamole and chips) cost $18USD with tip. Viva la Mexico!

We got up this morning and ran as far as the beach went and back (just over 2 miles) and ventured out for brunch. The sand here was much softer than running on the hard-packed sand at Ocean Beach in SF! We’re relaxing on the beach now before meeting the guys at Wildmex to plan a few adventures for the week. Our plan is to combine laying on the beach con bebidas¬†with mountain biking, surfing, kayaking, hiking, and maybe a little open water swimming if we can get out past the break.

We’re having a great time, but it doesn’t feel quite the same to be enjoying a beach vacation without Sarah. She was our sidekick in Costa Rica and Belize, so we’re missing her. Our bungalow even has an extra king size bed that should have been hers… We miss you Sarah!
